EMP / RECORDING CAMP

July 11 through July 15
1:00pm – 4:00pm

The Electronic Music Production and Recording Engineering Camp focuses on developing production techniques, arranging tracks, exploring sounds and understanding all the tools needed to create and record original music.

In this camp, students will learn Ableton Live by going through the entire process of being an a producer and developing your own sound through a series of sketches and experimentation. Originality is an essential concept when producing music and the EMP Camp promotes the action of finding your inner musical ideas.

• Collaboration with other individuals within the Electronic Music Production and the Artist Development Program’s
• Education on sound design and synthesis
• Remix opportunities
• Multi-genre music appreciation
• Use of Passion Academy’s Recording Studio
• Hands on learning with physical synthesizers
• Compose and produce original music
• Live performance experiences

What you’ll need:

A Laptop Mac or PC computer to bring to class
APC Mini with bundled Ableton Live 9 Lite software

Cancellation policy Please call 804-412-8100 or status@passionacademy.net, if you know in advance that your child will be absent from a lesson or class, so we can notify their mentor. An early cancellation is notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson or class. A late cancellation is within 60 minutes of a scheduled lesson/class. If no cancellation notice is given, the lesson/class is forfeited and no makeup lesson/class is allowed. Excused absences include illness, injury, death in the family, family emergency, or a grade-related activity for academic school. Please call our office if you have any questions regarding an absence.
